A different approach to public relations

"Creativity involves breaking out of established patterns in order to look at things in a different way"
Freedom. That's why I decided to go out on my own.
I love financial technology and the markets, both are endlessly fascinating. This is the beginning of what will likely be a decade or two of "wow" moments as solutions come to market that answer known questions and solve problems we did not know existed.
Keeping this in mind and seeking to make this leap, I kept coming back to the above quote from Maltese scholar Edward De Bono again and again. Innovative entrepreneurs are disrupting all areas of asset ma
nagement, banking, retirement planning, and other parts of the financial industry. Artificial intelligence, bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, blockchain, cloud computing, machine learning, and other scalable technologies exist because their creators saw things differently. Most public relations programs have largely remained the same, though.
The current model isn't going to work for everyone. Entrepreneurs want and deserve communications professionals as creative as they are. The foundation of any successful corporate communications plan will always consist of building long-term relationships with journalists and influencers, generating media coverage for product launches, hires, and other corporate events, and counseling executives on handling key situations. But there is always an opportunity to more effectively influence the broader industry and challenge those around you, an opportunity
to innovate and dictate the conversation as opposed to simply participating in it.
If you are looking for someone with experience in all three arenas -- large financial institutions, newsrooms and public relations agencies -- and uses that expertise to frame brand narratives in thoughtful ways, someone determined to help you achieve your goals while also impacting competitors and potential customers, I want to hear from you.
